Golden Grain operates three thriving restaurant locations in Albany, NY, with a mission that extends far beyond the plate. The team is committed not only to culinary excellence but also to making a meaningful contribution to the local community.

At Golden Grain, we don’t just serve food — we deliver an experience. The team holds itself to the highest standards — because our guests deserve nothing less than the best.

The founder, Zafer Ak, is known for his deep sense of social responsibility. Over the years, he has devoted significant time to visiting correctional facilities, connecting with incarcerated individuals and supporting their rehabilitation. He is also actively involved in initiatives that support orphans and underserved children, working to make a lasting difference in their lives.

Among the company’s leadership is Mert Ciftci, a U.S. military veteran whose service instilled in him the values of discipline, integrity, and leadership. He brings these qualities into Golden Grain's operations, fostering a team culture based on respect, accountability, and excellence.
